Chipped X-BOXES does that mean they can find stolen ones?

With the recent launch of Call of Duty and also the bigger story of Microsoft blocking chipped X-Boxes it led me to think about how much information Microsoft have on the owners of the consoles. As a occasional user I am in no way qualified to know any of these questions but I wanted to theorise if they can track the consoles which have been chipped does that mean they can track the actual physical x-box? if that is the case would it mean that they could track the serial codes of the x-box and if yours is stolen then they could track that and turn it off?

Only a thought...

future forecasting - google v's new york times

What will it be like in 2015? well although a bit end of the world in feel, the link below does make you think about the possibilities of what technology will allow us to do in the future. for me the end part about us becoming our own broadcasters is definitely something I can relate to and is happening even now. You only have to look at BBC sport page where they get a jo public to commentate on the games, and the recent use of camera video phones footage which has been used to report on an event.

Microsoft latest gaming experience

Came across the latest gaming concepts from Microsoft on the LSN website. I have searched and searched on previous postings but to no avail regarding my thoughts about Nintendo and how they decided to reinvent themselves in the gaming industry by going in a totally different direction to the gaming industry at that time. The physical experience of a Nintendo game on the Wii is fantastic. Granted the novelty does go down hill quite quickly as there is not really the complexity needed to keep you coming back for more, but the jump in thinking about questioning the style of game play and how we as people can, and do interact with games was changed forever. They in someways took alot from Japanese culture and the huge popularity of gaming arcades which have a huge array of interactive games. Allowing you to become someone else.

The Microsoft concept takes the movement even further and in the video really merges many different life events together with their new offering. I am not sure if it will take to consume our lives quite as much but still a very powerful piece of branding building.
